Information about you:
• What's your relation to the inmate?
• Did you know the inmate prior to their incarceration? If so, for how long?
• How old are you?
• What is your ethnicity?
• What is your current living situation? (type of home, neighborhood, employment)
• How many children, if any, are currently living in your household?

Information about the Inmate:
• What crime did the inmate commit?
• Was the crime a high profile crime? (regional/national press attention)
• How old was the inmate when the crime was committed?
• How old is the inmate currently?
• What was their sentence?
• Do you believe there should have been an alternative sentence in your inmates case? If so, why?
• Did you receive competent legal counsel during the trial? If not, why not?
• How many years of their sentence have they served to date?
• Where is the inmate currently housed?
• What state is he in?
• Has the inmate participated in any prison-based treatment programs, i.e. sexual offender program, anger management, psychological counseling?
• Do you believe the inmate is innocent of this crime? If so, why?
• What level of education does the inmate have?
• Did the inmate work prior to his conviction? If so, where?
• What kind of childhood did the inmate have?
• How is the inmate dealing with prison life?

Information about the family:
• How does the immediate family relate to the inmate?
• How have the children, if any, dealt with the inmates incarceration?
• Describe how you have been affected by your inmate's incarceration?
• What religion do you/he practice?
• Do you find support in your spiritual life?
• Do you have many friends in the town where you live?
• Do you share your situation with them?
• If so, how do they feel about your situation? If not, why not?
• Are you and/or your family currently working with a social worker?
• How has your life changed since your inmate was imprisoned?
• Are you and your family willing to share your story on camera?

Visitation:
• How often are you able to visit the inmate?
• How far is the inmate from you?
• How do you get to the prison? (bus, car, train, plane)
• What do you need to do in order to prepare for a visit to the prison?
• What are your visits like?
• How do the corrections people treat you during your visits?
• Do you have any additional information you would like to share?
